Site of the Month - July 2010

30 Jun in Drupal, Site of the Month
The Site of the Month for July 2010 is South Africa's 2010 FIFA World Cup site. As the World Cup starts to wind down, it is a nice time to reflect upon how awesome this event has been. From the inauguration, featuring Nelson Mandela, to all the wonderful goals & even to the much-hated vuvuzelas, it has been a very fun & festive event. It has been a historic event in that it is the first time the World Cup has been hosted on African soil. The site features the most unique tag cloud I have ever seen in all its cool, interactive glory. While I have never been a huge fan of Flash, due to seemingly 99.9% of sites implementing it very poorly, this site pulls it off elegantly. Not surprisingly, it is a site built with Drupal as its foundation.

go England go!

The 2010 World Cup was great but I'm an England fan & they didn't do so well. Hopefully they'll do better during the upcoming Olympics since it's on our home pitch. You seem to write a lot about Drupal & I'd never heard of it. I've always liked & used WordPress tons but all of your articles on Drupal are really convincing me to check out this new CMS. Go England!!!!!!
